I grew up before texting, smart phones, the internet, and any other form of “lazy dating communication”.  Many times I've texted a girl for days before meeting her, and along the way something I said was misunderstood as offensive, when in fact it was just plain sarcasm.  Unfortunately, some people won't just let it go, they think that I in fact was serious, and they disappear.  Then there are other people who text so much, they kill my phone battery, or even worse, they get mad when I don't answer right away!  C'mon! Not all of us like to text all day long.  Give our thumbs a rest once in a while.

The best thing to do is obviously pick up the phone, dial the number, and TALK.  Yes people…we used to talk on landlines for hours to get to know someone, or even better yet…meet in person!  Texting is so impersonal, faceless, and kind of tedious since you have to type on a little keyboard.  Watch the following video to hear what Kristin and I had to say about this, as well as some people in the city we stopped to ask.
